BITTER IS THE POISON OF LIFE BUT FORGIVENESS IS THE MEDICINE

God's Word Reading: Matthew 6:7-15📖

Nats;

For if you forgive people their trespasses, your heavenly Father will forgive you too. But unless you forgive people, your Father will not forgive your iniquities either.

 Matthew 6:14 15

Today, let's talk about forgiveness. Don't be bored.. because there are actually quite a lot of questions from many people regarding this problem.

Why should we forgive?

            First, forgiveness is God's command. Second, forgiveness is a form of faith. Third, forgiveness is a form of our obedience to Christ. These are all spiritual reasons why we should forgive.

What is the physical reason? If we don't forgive, we are filling our minds with negative things that absorb energy. When our energy is depleted due to negative thoughts, the result will be poison to our own body. In conclusion, negative thoughts will not produce anything positive. Instead, what arises is the thought of how I should repay other people's mistakes, then we start talking bad about that person to everyone we know. Even worse, start thinking about when the person will get a disaster, when he will die, and other bad wishes.

It's clear why God wants us to forgive. Jesus loves us, He doesn't want us to hold poison and then poison ourselves. But sir, it's not easy to forgive all the pain I've been through! True, because forgiveness is a step of faith. We cannot forgive but we want to obey. We can't afford it but Allah will enable us. The heart has been hurt deeply because of all that person's actions. Now bring our wounded and bleeding hearts to the Father and ask His help to forgive that person.

What are the practical steps? Do we go to, call, or Whatsapp the person and say, I forgive you. Not like that. First of all, realize forgiveness is our business with God. Say to God, I let go of forgiveness and no longer want to hold my anger against it. Pray, I release forgiveness because I want to learn obedience to God, in the name of Jesus Christ. Unless the person is in front of you at the time, it's best to say right away that you forgive him.

Happy forgiving. Good luck getting rid of the poison of anger and enjoy rest in the Lord.

Self Rhema:

Is there anyone we have not been able to forgive until now? What spiritual and physical impact do we feel?

Have we asked God's help to release forgiveness?
